In the salon environment, what are you known for - do you have a signature style?
My clients often call me a ‘cutter’ but I also love to create natural seamless colours to compliment their haircuts!
How has your style evolved and has this influenced your work?
I came from a hair salon that was high energy, at the forefront of editorial and cutting edge styles, and recipients of industry awards and accolades year-on-year. My time there shaped me into the hairdresser I am today, and I left with many valuable skills and knowledge. As I’ve transitioned and aligned my work with my life values, my style has also evolved to reflect this. I specialise in modern cuts and colours with an emphasis on the long-term condition of the hair.
These themes carried over when I was planning the studio space. It had to be minimalist and multi-functional, and fulfil its primary function as a working eco-ethical, chemically-reduced salon by day; and then into a wellness retreat - because haircare is so much more than a haircut.
Your commitment to ethical/sustainable/low tox alternatives is inspiring - what challenges have your faced to get to where you are now?
I am sharing what I know (and continuing to learn through experience and exposure) and getting the word out there - there are alternatives to the chemical and toxin heavy products used in salons, and there can only be good things that come from introducing this type of salon experience to South Australians and the hair and health community. I hope in time it becomes the norm vs. one of a few.
What is something people wouldn’t expect (of you)?
I’m an adrenaline junkie – I have skydived, abseiled and gone canyoning.
What are you passionate about?
It all comes down to my ‘why’ - a genuine and burning desire to empower people to be their natural self, and to protect the health of the environment. I want to do this in a human way - there is much to learn, and we will make mistakes along the way, but the best thing about tripping up are the wonderful discoveries you uncover. Encouragement and creating a safe space is much more effective than making people feel guilty about their choices.
I am also very passionate about food and wine - eating and drinking is usually what you’ll find me doing in my down-time! My partner and I were joking that we need to find something else to do together.

Do you have a daily uniform? Describe it
I’d like to think that I’m an effortless minimalist - you’ll usually find me in neutral colours, linen and tailored garments. I appreciate how and where materials are sourced, and the beauty in construction and flow.
What is something you’re looking forward to?
I really enjoy the little and simple things! In our modern day busy lives, I find it really difficult to slow down and step out of the daily grind and think about how I can enhance my life, especially as my partner is also a business owner.
I love Sunday’s with my partner. We spend the day preparing a home cooked dinner, but I mostly look forward to disconnecting from our devices, having a good chat, and enjoying the fruits of our labour with some natural wine!
Do you have any pinch-me moments or special projects you’re most proud of in your career to-date?
I was very humbled to be able to celebrate Enough Studio’s first birthday recently. It’s been a year of many highs, a couple lows, but overall a great success thanks to our clients placing their continued trust in us with their hair care, and to those who have shared their wisdom and knowledge here. I respect and am constantly in awe of their belief that our businesses can grow together, rather than see each other as competitors or threats.
I am grateful daily for the opportunity to build and grow a dream into reality. Thank you to everyone for choosing to be part of the Enough family (let’s celebrate our thriving little community)!
I was also really excited launch our tea range to mark our first birthday. I wanted to create a product that aligned with our values and to keep encouraging and supporting people’s journeys in self-care and nourishment in and beyond our studio space.
Enough’s Signature Beauty and Limited Edition Nourish Tea, were the result of many hours of research and development. I’m really excited to offer this tea during studio visits, and hope everyone will deem them worthy to incorporate into their everyday routines (as they're also available for purchase).

Who inspires you and why?
We've been in constant contact with individuals and businesses who share our values (individual, community and environmental wellbeing), and I hope in time, this translates into a calendar of workshops, events and collaborations that allow for those who have a voice to come and teach, as well as being a space for our community to come and learn, move and breathe. These people inspire me with their compassion and wisdom to to fill our lives with something meaningful.
