Claire holds a bachelor of science (BSc Hons) in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, from the university of Kingston in the UK. It was at this University that Claire studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Five Element Acupuncture.

In addition to this, Claire has studied other aspects of health care including: advanced bodywork – such as deep tissue, clinical and remedial massage therapy, Tui Na (Chinese medical massage), cupping, gua sha, moxibustion and Chinese dietary therapy. These practices are integrated into each treatment according to each patient’s needs and interests.

Claire cares deeply about the medicine that she practices because it has changed and enhanced her life for the better, and she cares deeply about each patient that she sees.

Claire’s strength is her ability to listen to and understand patients that have never completely felt listened to or understood before by other healthcare practitioners, to be open and honest and non-judgmental with them so that they feel they are safe to truly express who they are and what is on their mind. Claire aims to help her patients understand their health conditions and their bodies and minds better, and to support, educate and empower them as they work towards achieving their wellbeing and health goals.

Claire found Chinese medicine after a serious illness (meningitis) following which, she was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue. She had tried so many other things and nothing had really helped. Chinese medicine not only helped Claire to feel so much better physically but it’s wisdom also helped her to grow and make significant life changes so she could avoid getting so sick again. These changes led Claire away from a life that was exhausting and unauthentic and towards a life that felt freer and truer to who she was.

Because of this, Claire has a special interest in helping clients to recover from chronic debilitating illnesses such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Adrenal Fatigue, M.E. and Fibromyalgia, and mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. She also has a strong passion for supporting women’s health and has a strong focus on menstrual cycle disorders, infertility, pregnancy, postpartum care and menopause.

For those clients who don’t have a specific issue but want to learn to manage their health in a natural way, Claire assists them to manage their health and lifestyles in a preventative way, to help them stay at their best and healthiest all year round. She is committed to working closely with her clients in a down to earth and realistic way to produce outcomes that change their health and lives for the better.

In her own life, Claire is a bit of a natural health geek. She practices the fundamental lessons of Daoist and Chinese health preservation. This includes an interest in diet that corresponds with lifestyle and seasonal needs, daily physical work such as yoga, qi gong and martial arts and reflective practices such as meditation. She loves nothing more than being on a travel adventure, or with her loved ones in a natural setting, eating good food and drinking mountains of the best herbal tea.

She is a registered with AHPRA and a member of AACMA.
